Why Learn to Skate?

Ice skating is a hugely popular activity that forms the basis of many winter sports you will see in the winter Olympics, including figure skating and speed skating.

This graceful sport sees individual skaters or groups perform a series of dance routines in term with accompanying music. Incorporating spins, jumps and fast turns, figure skating certainly offer a more artistic form of ice skating.

Ever since I was eight years old, I've always wanted to ice skate and my ultimate dream was to be apart of the Hot Ice show. Little did I know, as the years of training went by, I would not only realise that dream by performing in the Hot Ice Show for ten seasons but also kickstart my coaching career during my first season. - As a competitor, I thrived on the excitement of the sport setting my sights on competing in the British championships, a goal I successfully achieved. I embarked on an incredible journey performing in various countries and collaborating with some highly acclaimed companies and choreographers. - I love teaching all ages from three-years to adult. It's a truly fulfilling experience and I believe that it's never too late to begin your skating journey. I offer both one-on-one and group lessons. - I am delighted to share that I will also be co-choreograhing this year's 'BIDCA' Christmas show 'Alice Through the Looking Glass'. - If you are interesting in inquiring about lessons, please feel free to contact me via email at [email protected] -Licensed Level 2 coach - Inter Gold Free Skater - Twice Scottish Intermediate Ladies Champion - British Championship Competitor - Principle Girl Soloist in Ice Shows - 10 years Hot ice cast Member - Choreographer

My goal is to guide and build confidence in every skater through a holistic, skater-centric approach. With a decade of experience as a cast member and principal skater for the Blackpool Ice Drome Charities Association (BIDCA), and four years as an assistant choreographer, I’ve performed and created shows that have delighted audiences every Christmas season. I’ve also trained alongside national and world competitors and attended numerous skate camps where I learned from World-Class and Olympic-level coaches. This has allowed me to develop an in-depth knowledge, and skills set that I’m eager to share with my students. My mission is to create a safe and inclusive environment where skaters of all levels can thrive and succeed. Having trained, competed, and performed at this world-renowned rink, I am now thrilled to coach here, sharing my extensive experience with skaters of all levels.
